Congressman Burgess Owens

A close Republican loss in 2018 left Utah 4 as one of the most competitive districts in the nation in 2020. Republicans were keen to retake the seat while Democrats were looking to hold onto a seat that had never been held for more than two consecutive terms. Tackling a well-funded incumbent is never an easy challenge.

Burgess Owens found success in connecting with Utahans through disciplined messaging and an all-out approach that lead to a narrow 3,765 vote win, just a 1% margin. Ragnar's polling helped ensure that the Owens campaign fought for every vote with messaging that connected to the every day lives of the people in his district.

With Congressman Owens' all-out effort, Republicans were able to take back the seat from a well-known incumbent, ensuring that Republicans maintained control of the entire Utah delegation.
